This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and retain personal information when you:

  • Visit OnlineHockeyTraining.com;
  • Create an OHT account;
  • Purchase or access an OHT program;
  • Submit a video for analysis;
  • Participate in coaching or customer-support communications;
  • Join an email list or promotion; or
  • Otherwise interact with OHT.

By using our website or services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Personal Information We Collect

Contact and Account Information

We may collect:

  • Mailing or shipping address;

  • Parent or guardian information; and
  • Information needed to create and maintain your account.

Passwords and account credentials may be stored and managed by the platform provider that hosts the OHT website and training programs.

Purchase and Transaction Information

OHT does not normally receive or store your complete credit-card number. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers.

Player and Training Information

A parent, guardian, or adult purchaser may provide:

  • Hockey experience or skill level;
  • Training goals;
  • Areas the player wants to improve;
  • Written questions or coaching messages;
  • Training progress;
  • Photographs, videos, or audio recordings submitted for coaching or video analysis; and
  • Coach feedback connected with the player.

Please do not provide medical information unless it is reasonably necessary for a specific coaching or safety question.

Communications

  • Reviews and testimonials;
  • Contest or promotion entries;
  • Coaching communications; and

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in an email. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent OHT from sending important account, purchase, or service messages.

OHT programs are intended to be purchased and managed by parents, legal guardians, or adults.

Children under 13 should not create an account, make a purchase, join an email list, or submit personal information directly to OHT without appropriate parental involvement and consent.

When a program is used by a child under 13:

  • The parent or guardian should create and manage the account;
  • The parent or guardian should submit player videos or coaching information;
  • OHT will communicate primarily with the parent or guardian; and
  • The parent or guardian may request access, correction, or deletion of the child’s information.

OHT does not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 without appropriate parental notice and consent.

If we learn that personal information was collected directly from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Parents and guardians may contact us to:

  • Review information connected with their child;
  • Request corrections;
  • Request deletion;
  • Withdraw previously provided consent; or
  • Ask us to stop collecting or using the child’s information.

9. Player Videos, Images, and Testimonials

Videos or photographs submitted for coaching or video analysis will be used to provide the requested service, maintain appropriate business records, improve service quality, or address customer-support concerns.

Submitting a player video for private analysis does not give OHT permission to use the video publicly for advertising.

OHT will not publicly use a minor player’s name, image, video, voice, or testimonial for promotional purposes without separate permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Any promotional use may be governed by a separate testimonial, media release, or consent agreement.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Retention periods may depend on:

  • How long an account remains active;
  • Whether information is needed to provide lifetime program access;
  • Coaching or video-analysis requirements;
  • Customer-support needs;
  • Fraud prevention;
  • Tax, accounting, and legal obligations;
  • Contract enforcement; and
  • Dispute resolution.

Transaction, tax, and accounting records may be kept for the period required by applicable law.

Player videos submitted for analysis may be kept for a reasonable period after the analysis is completed and then deleted unless:

  • Continued retention is necessary to provide the service;
  • A dispute or legal obligation requires retention; or
  • The parent or guardian has provided separate permission for another use.

When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether OHT processes your personal information;
  • Access personal information OHT maintains about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of personal information;

12. Submitting a Privacy Request

  • The privacy right you wish to exercise; and
  • Enough information for us to identify the relevant account or transaction.

We may need to verify your identity before completing the request. We will only request information reasonably necessary for verification.

A parent or guardian may submit a request concerning a child’s information.

An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but OHT may require proof of authorization.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Where Minnesota law applies, we generally aim to respond within 45 days. When reasonably necessary and legally permitted, the response period may be extended, and we will explain the extension.

Explain why you believe the original decision should be reconsidered.

We will review the appeal and respond within the period required by applicable law.
